Evelin Bermudez made a career in international development working for several United Nations Agencies. After her 12-year tenure at the World Bank, where she managed several projects and worked in public policy development in the areas of micro-finance, gender, education, social development and youth development, she relocated to Switzerland in 2003. Since 2009 she has been a guest lecturer at the Lucerne School of Business, where she is also the co-project manager for a Federal Government-funded project.

Her entrepreneurial drive and passion for social change have motivated her to launch and manage several initiatives. She is the president of the Swiss International Volunteer Organisation, a non-profit supporting integration through volunteer work, and the co-founder of the Companies & Returnships Network. For the past 15 years, she has acquired extensive knowledge and gained experienced in all aspects of business development, operation and the management of non-profits and social enterprises. Since 2012, she has been a member of the City of Lucerne’s Integration Commission.
